   Know Your Roots


On persistent demand of person of Indian origin settled abroad, ANTAR RASHTRIYA SAHAYOG PARISHAD (BHARAT) (A.R.S.P) has undertaken the project of locating the roots in India of those persons who desire it.

METHODS :

  • All those persons desirous to locate the place of their fore- fathers and their living relations , if any, will fill up the form enclosed and send it to A.R.S.P. alongwith all possible informations, documents and details of memory.
  • A.R.S.P will process the request to find out if these is a prima facie possibility of locating the roots after preliminary investigations . The recommendations based on this processing will be communicated to the applicant.
  • A detailed and thorough search of locations, records to find out roots will be undertaken by A.R.S.P. through investigators after receiving such a request from the applicant.
  • A detailed report together with documents , wherever possible , will be sent to the applicant in case of success, otherwise , a failure report together with reasons will be sent.

TIME FRAME :


The preliminary processing is likely to take 4-6 weeks and the final investigation could take 8-16 weeks after receipt of application and further confirmation.

EXPENDITURE:


The A.R.S.P. is a non- profit making , voluntary organisaton . However in order to meet its service expenses, the applicant will send demand draft as under :-
    Processing charges             : U.S.$ 25
   Complete investigations        : U.S.$ 250 (inclusive of processing charges)

All payments will be sent in the form of Demand Drafts only , payable to
    "ANTAR-RASHTRIYA SAHAYOG PARISHAD (BHARAT)"
    Payable at New Delhi, India.
The A.R.S.P. will send its receipt alongwith the investigation report.

 

CONFIDENTIALITY :


Strict confidentiality of the applicant will be maintained and in case of success , the address of the applicant will be disclosed to his relative in india only when the applicant so desires .
